Until 5 July 2012, public opinions can be issued on the recent revisions of the Amended Chinese Work Safety Law (Draft for Consultation)” (the “Draft”) to the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council.
After being supplemented and amended, the Draft further improves the provisions on the guidelines and mechanisms for work safety as well as the relevant system for guaranteeing the safety in work. It furthermore strengthens the supervisory measures on work safety to enhance the effectiveness of government supervision.
The provisions supplemented in the Draft are as follows:
- the departments responsible for work safety supervision and administration shall establish an information system in which any entity in its business operation in violation of work safety laws and regulations shall be recorded; and
- the names of the entities in serious violation of the work safety laws and regulations may be disclosed to the public. (Article 21)
